This year has begun with Craig teaching a summer intensive course for UniSA: Coastal Environments – 34 students for two weeks of lectures, practicals and visiting various coastal sites around Adelaide and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Antony and Holly have helped out with demonstrating and a guest lecture, respectively. A great bunch of enthusiastic students, who haven’t been daunted by heatwave conditions for a couple of the field trips.

On other news – Antony’s first paper from his PhD thesis has been accepted at Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety. Stay tuned for a post about this, when it appears in press soon. Holly is preparing for her thesis viva and Hazel has started some of her work at Nyrstar, as part of the Futures Industries Accelerator programme here at UniSA.

It’s going to be a busy (and hopefully scientifically productive!) year.
