Masha’s paper in Computers and Chemical Engineering has finally appeared, after a long time being ‘in press’.

In the paper Masha has used a mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model approach to look at optimising complex processes such as water purification. In this case, pretty complex problems required complex solutions and Masha actually used  partially linearised MINLP (plMINLP) and mixed integer linear fractional programming (MILFP) models to look at case studies of seawater desalination and surface water treatment for the production of potable water.
